back for more updates....gettin colder and darker faster....

Hi everyone!!
I'm back.....sorry haven't been updating this blog for a while....been busy with exams and all....but now I'm currently having a 2 week holiday....though I know its a holiday but haih still have to study since we are having our 2nd minitest after this holiday...

The weather here is getting colder and colder ever since Easter....and its been raining for these few couple of days, making the weather colder....It was so cold to the extend that on d 4th of April, it was 9 degree Celcius at night....it was that cold that when I was talking, a friend of mine told me that he can see smoke coming out from my mouth...Die lo, if autumn is already this cold, how about winter....hahahha =DD Will stick inside the room under the blanket and don't want to go out already....ahhahaha =P

So dark outside when its just 6 pm....

Besides that, it is also getting darker earlier.....as in usually it will only get dark round 7 but now its already dark out at 6 pm or even 5 something if its raining....sometimes as early as 4 pm....haih our daytime is reduce already....was having a weather shock when this 1st happen as I was shocked to find out that it was so dark outside when its just 6 or 5 something.....can't do anything....and it doesn't help that its always raining these few days.....

Thats basically whats going on around here....nothing much....life here is pretty dead as well the weather is so cold that people would rather just stay in their rooms....haih wonder how am I going to get to class in the winter....so cold that I would just feel like staying in the room...hahaha = )

lose weight!!

Hi everyone!!
Just a quick post as I'm quite busy studying for minitests this week and the next....
I can now officially say tat I've lost weight....hahahah =)
Before I came to Australia, during the medical checkup, I was about 46.2 kg and in today's clinical lab, I'd measured and I weigh about 44.5 kg.....
So all in all, I lost about 2 kg....hahhaha yay!!
Thats about it...I'll try and weight myself again after winter to see whether will I lose some more weight then but according to a senior, we will gain more weight during winter because we tend to eat more....so we'll see how then...hahha =P
Anyways hopefully everyone is doing great back home and take good care of yourselves!!

P/S: Congrats to all d STPM-goers on your results....I know some of you are quite happy about it and some are not quite happy....but anyhow you guys made it....so thats quite an achievement already....so a BIG CONGRATS to everyone!!
and to Vivien, Congrats on your SPM results too!!! hahhah =PP share ur "reward" with me,k??send it over....hahhaa =)

just writing in to let everyone know that I wouldn't be updating any post for these few days as I will be busy studying for my minitest this upcoming Friday and next Monday....will try to update as soon as my exams are over, alright??sorry people =P

Ok I'm sure everyone is curious on how my uni looks like right??Here are some pictures to sort of give you all an idea of how my uni looks like.....Its like being in a jungle as my uni is sort of in a small jungle....hahaa =DD

The bridge with ducks....The pond near Bara......Walking to class......There you can see Morni and Val walking amist all the trees and bushes....like a small jungle....Now you all know why I got bitten by so many mosquitoes....stupid mosquitoes....now my hands and legs are all covered by mosquitoe bites....so ugly =( yes yes, I shall try not to scratch it....hehe =p

though without the mosquitoes, it would be a very pleasant and nice walk to class....very nice scenery and atmosphere....very nice to have walks as well as the weather here is cool....the wind is cold and though there is sun, its not really that hot...whereas if I were to walk this distance to class everyday in Malaysia, I'll just melt already....too hot and will also be sweating profusely....but here its quite cooling...hardly sweat at all....

Oh yea, to those who don't know...it takes like about half an hour latest to walk to class every morning....and this is fast walking....imagine if slow walking, you'll probably never reach class or will be late....like the time we were late for our anatomy class because we got lost and couldn't find our way...but that was during the 1st week of class so we were still pretty unfamiliar with the uni as it is huge and the classes are scattered everywhere.....but now its better already as we know where the classes are....

however, 1 thing that I don't like is that our classes are sometimes from 1 end to the other end of uni.....like in this hour we have class in the west end of uni and the next hour we have class in the east end of uni....so really have to walk very very fast.....and it is really very tiring....all my leg muscles are sore already but according to my seniors, we will get used to it sooner or later....though sometimes the lecturer will try to end the class 5-10 minutes earlier so it gives us time to walk....and when they don't end early, then we would have to just leave the class earlier though they are still teaching.....but its alright because other people does it as well....although it is rude ler.....

Some weird looking plant near Bara...reminds me of a berus that you use to watch toilet bowl....hahhaha =DD
As most shopping malls here close at 5 pm except for Thursdays where they will close at 9 pm, nightlife here is pretty boring....so people will tend to go to bars, pubs or clubs at night....to drink and hang out....There are 2 bars in campus itself....1 is The Bar On The Hill (BOTH) and the other 1 is GT Bar....Well, at least these are the 2 bars I know of......not sure if there are any others....

During the Orientation Week, there was an International Student Party at BOTH for us international students......went and check it out....here are some pictures of BOTH....

Finally I've arrived to Newcastle.....before this I was busy preparing my stuffs....packing....getting my visa done....my accomodation confirmed....the payments done....get my medical checkup results done....air tickets ready.....learning how to cook from my grandma etc etc....Wow, it was really hectic!!!....so maybe that is why i was really busy the couple of weeks prior to leaving....so sorry ya for not meeting up with you guys before leaving.....don't worry I'll definitely be meeting you all again if I'm coming back end of this year....ehehhe =D

And to top it all, our flight to Australia is on the 1st day of Chinese New Year....and hahaha I almost miss my flight as I arrived late....All my coursemates who are travelling here together were already waiting and calling me....see whether I reach or not....hahah thanks you guys for waiting for me....and making you all so worried =P

So its almost a 9 hour flight all the way to Australia.....hahahha =D There goes a new journey starting ahead in a foreign place without the comforts of home.....Jia You everyone!!! Especially to those who are in other parts of the world and Australia.....hope to be able to meet up with you all (those in Australia) one day!! =p

Oh yea and not forgetting a BIG THANK YOU to ku ku, ku cheong, alwyn and aaron ko ko for sending us all to the airport.....Thank you everyone for their help and support!!! =)

gooday everyone!!!

hahaha to those who don't know, I'm already in The Land Down Under.......*ta da* Newcastle, Australia!!!.....hahahha its not the one in UK......above is the map of Newcastle for those who don't know where it is....*There is a Newcastle at Australia??!!*.....hahhaha =)

so just to let everyone know, I started this blog so that I can post up all the events that are happening here and update everyone on whats going on.....Its kinda hard to put all this into emails and mail it to everyone because mostly there is a lot of pictures so the file will be very big and therefore I can't send it all with just 1 email....so its kinda troublesome....an easier way is just to put it all here so everyone can just view it....if anyone of you want to save or keep any pictures , just go ahead and right-click on the pictures and press on save.....hahahah =D

I'm currently doing fine now....Weather is getting colder as it is autumn here already.....Less mosquitoes *thank god*....hahahha =) Class started already so sometimes I may be busy with all the assignments and tests and all....like I have an assignment due next Wednesday and a minitest on next Friday....so currently busy studying....going to library borrowing books and all....so heavy to carry all the books n walk so far back to my hostel....hahaha =D
